Climate change cannot be contrasted by adapting or chasing it for continuing producing as before. You counteract it by anticipating it and changing the way you produce. On the hillsides of the Langhe monoculture is dominant at the expense of biodiversity. As guests of this territory, we must “make amends” for the fortune of living surrounded by such extraordinary nature, by respecting it and preserving its typical traits.
In Fontanafredda Bosco Vigna is born: over 170 types of forest and fruit plants planted among vineyards to promote the biodiversity of our hills.

An ancient tradition of our countryside that, over the years, has been sacrificed for intensive monoculture, today it comes back to life among vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba.
Our agronomists have carefully selected the plants that are the most appropriate for our ecosystem, with native and introduction species, to bring different nutrients to the soil, reintroduce animals that have disappeared into the environment and generate a climate mitigation effect due to the new currents they generate.

The aim is to promote the biodiversity of our hillsides by restoring the flora and fauna, both macro and micro. In addition, in the current context of climate change, planting trees can also help to mitigate this trend, so as to generate the microclimate most suited to the nature of this area, while at the same time favouring the recovery of damaged ecosystems, soil fertility and combating vine diseases.
Bosco Vigna is meant to be a “manifesto” inviting to meditate on the future of our Land. Dedicated to all Langa’s Vigneron.
