It’s that time of the year, when the editors of Wine Enthusiast, one of the most important and influential USA magazines in the world of wine, have drawn up the infamous “The Enthusiast 100″, selecting the Top 100 wines in the world. A ranking that rewards the best 100 wines of 2023 chosen from more than 23,000 bottles, not only for the high scores obtained, but rather for having distinguished themselves in a particular way for having “opened the eyes of our reviewers and stimulated their imagination”, says the magazine.
An élite list, in which we are proud and happy to communicate that also our
Barolo DOCG Lazzarito Vigna La Delizia 2019 has been listed as number #53 in the Wine Enthusiast’s TOP 100.

A great achievement for one of our historic crus, which we decided to vinify again for the 2019 vintage, to spread the importance of a unique terroir, the one of Serralunga d’Alba and, in particular, the MGA Lazzarito. In fact, Vigna la Delizia has the unique aptitude of producing wines with profound verticality and fresh tannins, capable of expressing all the power of the territory from which it comes.
A Barolo that presents itself with herbal notes that fade into spicy hints. Vertical, deep and a great vibrant tannins on the palate, able to express its best over time.
A wine that has managed to gain a “place in the world” among this year’s Top 100 with a score of 94 points and the Editor’s choice according to Jeff Porter, Editor of Wine Enthusiast and taster for the Italy section: “Wild raspberries, fresh wildflowers and herbs spill from the glass of this elegant Barolo. The palate offers crushed cherry notes accented by savory herbs, spice, sweet tobacco and anise finishing with elegant but youthful tannins that will soften with age. Drink 2028–2040. Editors’ Choice- J.P.”

The “Rebirth” of this wine expresses our hope and aspiration to increasingly enhance the essence of our territory, guaranteeing the continuity of a tradition that resists time and brings the great ability to renew itself for the future.
“Because wine is terroir, the combination of earth and sky, an indissoluble union that once again makes us proud of our beloved roots, the Langhe.”
