Visitors are welcome at Fontanafredda any day of the year. Here they will be offered a rich array of opportunities: a tour of the winery, considered to be among the most beautiful in the world; or a walk in the “Woods of Thoughts”, immersed in nature among century-old trees, hazelnut plantations, and vineyards. Those who, instead, wish to spend a relaxing weekend may rest in the “Foresteria delle Vigne” (Vineyard Guesthouse), taste wines and enjoy a lunch at “Osteria Disguido”, or treat themselves to a fancy dinner at “Ristorante Guido”, inside the "Royal Villa”.

The E. Mirafiore Foundation is born with one primary goal: to awaken the critical spirit by promoting cultural growth in a ludic and pleasant environment. This objective is pursued through three main activities: The Permanent Resistance Laboratory, created to streamline the historic Resistance, adapting its meaning and original scope to new threats and redemption opportunities. Literary walks in the Wood of Thoughts, which promote social cohesion and collective cultural growth. Youth projects. The democratization of the cultural offer is demonstrated through events that are free of charge and are even broadcasted through livestreaming in order to allow a broader accessibility.

The Wood of Thoughts is a journey of meditation and contemplation created in the last forest that has remained intact in Langhe of Barolo, amid centuries-old plants, vineyards, and hazelnuts. The trail is articulated into 12 stages and equipped with benches for resting. Each stage displays two signs: the first contains a series of celebrated quotes inspired by a specific theme; the second describes traceable elements of the landscape and of the surrounding environment.
